We are aware of a major fibre transport outage currently affecting the Tramore area.
This is not a HiSpeed-only issue. The fault is on the main OpenEir wholesale network serving Tramore and is affecting approximately 4,800 customers across multiple broadband providers.
OpenEir is the wholesale network operator used in the background by many broadband providers. It is separate from Eir retail, so this type of fault can affect customers of several different broadband companies at the same time.
The reported affected services include fibre broadband, NGN services and PSTN services in Tramore.
Field engineers have been dispatched to assess the damage.
UPDATE: at 3:40 pm, Fibre jointers are on site, estimated restore time 9pm. (we are working on getting a backup feed that will allow service in some areas in the meantime)
